Overview

Welcome to the Functional nanomaterials (FNM) laboratory led by Dr. R.B. Rakhi and affiliated to the Department of Physics, University of Kerala, India.

In the NFM lab, we synthesize nanostructured electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage and sensing applications.  Currently, the group focuses on the growth of 2D layered materials (graphene, MoS2, MXenes, and heterostructures), transition metal oxides, and organic/inorganic hybrid composites.

We look forward to both internal and international collaboration as well as comments, suggestions, and guidance from colleagues and peers with shared research interest.
